Welcome to the new and improved Florida Milsim website.  I am very excited to bring this new face of FM to you.  In our first year of operation we have grown a lot more than we expected. When I first started Florida Milsim I had no doubt that it would become a success, but I had no idea that it would mature in to what it is today. We have grown from a group of a few close friends who aspired to be a very special type of Military Simulation, to a large group of friends who will stop at nothing to push their limits of the  physical and mental challenges that Military Simulation brings to us.

This growth was previously served online by a platform called "Ning" it served us very well, but had its limitations and could not keep up with our progressive needs and ideas. We now have moved to a new server and software which will serve us very well. The new FM will allow us to make changes and adapt the site to our core, the members. This is a very positive step for FM, which I owe each and every member thanks for participating in the development and refinement of FM to what it is today.

We have worked hard on bringing you some of the most used features from the old site, as well as introducing new ones. Some of the features on the new site are:

    * Fully Featured Forums, with Avatars, Ranks and Signature blocks .
    * Photo Gallery with advanced user options
    * New events listing page
    * Listing and reviews for member and admin submitted books
    * Various web link listings and review

If you have any ideas for features or design elements you would like to see on the site, please let us know.

Another task is the migration of as much of the content from the old site as we could, but have found that a lot of the content that existed was time sensitive, or is no longer relevant. If you feel we have missed something that you would like to see, please let us know so we can identify if it can / should be brought over. Once again, thanks to all of our members for making this exciting time of growth possible.  I am looking forward to the future to be as exhilarating and auspicious as our beginnings.
